[Work] Volunteer = Selfless Contribution = Need to be rigorous?

Updated: Nov 25, 2018

What I believe as a Social Enterprise - After a group of strangers have undergone the transformation of their lives, it is really rare to become a friend who is a contribution-oriented and long-term development. I am forever grateful to every volunteer to be committed and contributed.

The conversion to charity - As a charity, we are the custodian of social resources, not the owner. After all, the meaning of life is not possession, but let go, until nothing is left down, it is true freedom. How to let go of self-deception and self in the pure contribution as a lifelong learning.

As the volunteer team grows, how to optimize the quality of the team is an important topic:

1. Volunteers are easily mistaken for mediocrity, low quality, unprofessional, and even self-proclaimed, loose and self-centered. 2. Volunteers are prone to moral superiority, and they are based on me. Individuals are over the team and disregard team spirit. 3. Volunteers are easy to contribute to society's fee-based services, such as professional social work counseling, creating unnecessary confrontation. 4. Volunteers tend to ignore their own rewards other than money because of their unpaid contributions, such as the rare friendship of the business world, team trust, personal growth, and so on.

SA uses "contribution" as its core value. The purpose is to let us learn to create value for ourselves and those around us. As for whether it is a fee or an obligation, it is not the key. When we choose this "contribution-oriented" team, we need to examine our starting point: Is it a clean contribution, or a good name contribution, but a real demand? I pay more, or do I get more? When volunteers don't say "selfless contribution", they look at their own position. When everyone uses pure contribution as the core value, the team has a clear direction, positioning, cohesiveness and charisma. Everyone will not be self-centered and will feel personally. And need to be on the team. I am not a big one: I am a great man, I can make a small person, create you and me. The team is embarrassed and the individual will be jealous.

If volunteers don't mean "selfless sacrifice", but create value for themselves and the team, then respect for teamwork and team discipline is a big responsibility. Imagine if the volunteers think that "I don't have to collect money, I don't need to be responsible, I don't need to be rigorous." "I am very busy. It is inevitable that I will be late and leave early. I am just volunteering. I can't ask for too much." If volunteers think, Discipline is equal to depriving individuals of their liberty, and the entire team will have a loose sand and it is difficult to accumulate results. The key is: How much do I value my commitment and responsibility? How much do I care about the impact of my own actions on the team? DP emphasizes love and tolerance: love needs to have a healthy boundary, and tolerance is not connivance. Otherwise, "my feelings" will be magnified, eventually causing team losses and personal losses.

Volunteers are actually the custodians of social resources, and each person is also the custodian of their own lives. We walk naked and walk naked, without taking anything or possessing anything. We are responsible for hosting our own lives and finding the value of a clean contribution. Each life can play and demonstrate the greatest value of life in teamwork and the love of the universe.
